Mix CD (Summer 2002)

The other day, I rocked out to a long lost mix CD. I am pretty sure that I made this, in the summer of 2002, for my drives up Interstate 5. Most of these songs still move me and the ridiculous juxtaposition of certain tracks make me laugh! I love that this period of my life is musically documented. Props to Napster for making my life a little happier.

If I ever had doubts that I was/still am a dork, this list is proof. Let me know if you want me to burn you a copy...

1. "Coming Around" - Travis
2. "No Sensitivity" - Jimmy Eat World
3. "Little Triggers" - Elvis Costello
4. "You're A Big Girl Now" - Lloyd Cole (cover)
5. "It's All Over Now, Baby Blue" - Lloyd Cole (cover)
6. "Nobody Does It Better" - Travis (cover)
7. "Understanding In A Car Crash" - Thursday
8. "Motorcycle Drive By" - Third Eye Blind
9. "Cemetery Gates" - The Smiths
10. "Do It All Over Again" - Spiritualized
11. "Suerte" - Shakira
12. "Glendora" - Rilo Kiley

Yeah! It's back.

Ha ha, I hastily deleted it and that was dumb. Just like the first time Blink 182 broke up.

I may have to dig through my old mixtapes and see if I turn up anything good.

Holy shit, "No Sensitivity!" Looooooove that song too. The electric version is incredible, but have you heard the acoustic? It's amazing! (lemme know, or else I'll send it to you).

PS- Love that Westerberg song. Always reminds me of Singles.

Awmercy - si si! Perusing "old" music is fun!

Mona - I didn't know an acoustic version of that song existed. I bet it kicks ass!

I'm gonna find it on my comp and send it for sure. It's one of those acuoustic versions that manages to keep the same electricity as the electronic version. You'll see why when you hear it. They're equally good, just different!

Brasilliant may have to pick up a copy of this bad boy while she is down visiting. Or at least an MP3 version of it.
