Scion Garage Festival – October 17

I know MusicfestNW is coming up first, but I have been neck deep in wild and spazzy rock n' roll ever since I came across a rumor that there was going to be a massive garage rock festival in Portland in October sponsored by Vice and Scion. Turns out it's happening and the lineup is insane. There are at least six bands I am dying to see and another nine I really like. Just seeing the roster has introduced me to some great new (to me anyway) bands. Seriously, I am not sure I could have curated a better lineup. I'm bummed it is only one day because that makes for some tough decisions and maybe some sprinting between venues.

Oh, and the tickets are FREE. Just request one here.

Here's the supposed lineup (my favorites in bold):

Is it too ambitious to start a day of music at 3 and expect to last until 12? Or as long as I alternate between JB and Stumptown I should be alright?

Here's my plan if this schedule holds true:

Kick it off with the Dirtbombs at Berbati's then head over to Someday for the Almighty Defenders, then run over to Dante's for Thomas Function. Of course, I could try and catch Cheap Time back at Someday after King Kahn & BBQ, but then I'd miss the Manniquen Men and Goodnight Loving...

I think I need to start checking tour schedules and see who is coming back so that I can cross them off the must see list.
