Putting the album release dates on the enteries is brilliant. I always wonder if I put more weight on albums that were released later in the year and that are still fresh in my mind.

I'm there with you on that, ve1cro. Making my list, I had to seriously rediscover things that kicked my ass in February that had their edges mellowed out come December.

I agree. That was all NightraiN.

It will be interesting to see in what quarter most of the albums were released. Maybe I'll make a chart.

Sandenuts cracks me up.

Yeah. I find the dates informative as well. Awmercy: I would be interested in seeing your ├╝ber nerdy "release date impact" chart.

I feel like Local Natives (February 16, 2010) may have suffered from the early release. I am surprised to see them so low.

Yeah, they were even good live.

I wonder how different the results would be if at the end of every month, everyone submitted their favorite album at that moment and results were tallied at the end of the year.

Isn't that the point of the summer short list? If not, maybe it should be.....

Did Four Tet not make even the tail end of this list at all!?

Ve1cro... "Snacks?!" That's awesome, definitely didn't know that. Snacks was super cute/cuddly at the end of the "When I'm With You" video.
