Michael Jackson Pepsi Commercial (1984)

I was way too young to remember this commercial, but I stumbled upon it recently and think it's kinda/sorta awesome. I didn't even realize until a little while later that the little kid who dances with Michael and the Jackson brothers is Alfonso Ribeiro, aka Carlton Banks from Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Even funnier that he never gave up the MJ love in adult life. It must be cool to have this on your resume, just like I envy Courteney Cox for being the girl Bruce Springsteen chose in the audience to come up on-stage and dance with him during the "Dancing In The Dark" video.

A friend of mine actually thought MJ was singing "You're a horny generation" when later it becomes clear he meant "You're a whole new generation." I could see that. Either interpretation works for me.

Is it just me, or is that a young Corey Feldman with black sunglasses behind the kid when he starts moonwalking?

Wow, I don't think I was old enough to remember ever seeing it on TV, but I bet I would've been just as excited too :)

Apparently Alfonso was quite the dancer instructor. See: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sd4C8_FMdjA

It's kind of insane how much this ancient Egyptian statue looks like MJ.

Where the heck did you find that? How freaky. I hope they make the Neverland Ranch a public museum. I'd totally go see it.

I particularly enjoy how the statue has a broken nose too ;)
