Ve1cro's verano short list

1. VoxtrotTrepanation Party. A nod to The Cure and New Wave greatness/moodiness. Bring on the new album!

2. Haiwata! - Blacks on Blondes EP. When done right, an EP is the perfect length for my (sometimes) short attention span. These songs have a touch of The Replacements, Madness, and a heaping helping of Brit schlock. Yum.

3. “Brit Schlock” – Thanks to Awmercy for adding this phrase to my music vocabulary. It rolls off of the tongue quite nicely.

4. Emusic’s douchiness– Since 2005, I have been getting 90 downloads at $19.99. Muy bueno. Come July, my music package whittles down to 50 downloads at $20.79. LAME.

5. Miley Cyrus - The Climb. Total guilty pleasure that really speaks to me. Close your eyes and play it loud. Dudes, you have to keep the faith.

Ve1cro, Miley Cyrus? Where in the world did that one come from. She irritates me like no other.

But if I had to be stuck with just one song of hers, it would have to be "See You Again," the chorus specifically. haha

I watched the Miley Cyrus video in full, just for you. Curious? Where did you hear it first? Was it on the soundtrack list for Free Willy VII?

The least Voxtrot could do is come out with another EP. I think I liked those better than the album.

I'm going to have to check out Haiwata!

Just let me know if you ever need me to make up a new genre. I'm always glad to help out.

Mona – Ha! yeah, it's a weird choice but it gets stuck in my head for days. Miley’s “See you again” is a total fist pumper. Nice suggestion!

Brasilliant – Some of the kids at work taunted me when I didn't know the Miley's newest song. So I took it upon myself to do some research, in order, to conduct more thorough clinical, therapeutic, interventions.

Oh, and, I’m still waiting for Free Willy IV, V, VI to arrive in the mail. (hint, hint)

Awmercy - Yeah, I am just itching for some new Voxtrot. Let me know what you think of Haiwata!

Ha ha. Rad. I hope your work knows about the sacrifices you make.

Of all those Tweenybopper musicians, you gotta go with Taylor Swift. Beautiful, talented, writes her own shit/plays her own music, she's fantastic. I actually don't change the radio station if/when "Love Story" comes on, lol:

BTW- Yes, fist pumping galore. "The last time I freaked out / I just kept looking down / I s-s-stutter when you ask me what I'm thinking 'bout."

I bet this one was written about one of the Jonai bros ;)

I started watching the Miley Cyrus video, but it weirded me out and I had to stop. Least spontaneous-seeming singing performance EVER. It seriously looks like there's some little reciever in her ear going: "Ok, emote....now! Ok, look at your knees demurely....now!"

Ha ha, you totally nailed it! However, I can't help myself from singing along. I'm a strong believer in not taking oneself so seriously all the time!

Lemme know when the "I can't stand Miley Cyrus" weekly support group meets. Something about the way she pouts her lips/smiles makes me want to punch her lights out.

Of all the Miley-related snafus in the media, I love how Radiohead said "no thank you, we don't do that" when they heard she wanted to meet them backstage at an award show. You can't make up awesomeness like that!

So, Ve1ro? Do you you know this "hate you" character? I thought I was your biggest fan.

Whoa, I totally missed your Haiwata! with its "touch of The Replacements and Madness." Totally up my alley, thanks Ve1cro. Something to check out!

We were in the liquor store on Friday and I heard the Miley Cyrus song. I though of you, then bought some tequila.

I love how you bought the tequila after hearing the Miley Cyrus song.
