Rain’s Favorite Albums from 2015

Chelsea Wolfe - Abyss
I choose to accept the ghost that haunts me. Chelsea, just say the word "boo!" to me and I will embrace it as a lullabye.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress
The new National Anthem. ...and because America is so broken, it had to be Canada that did anything about it...

Cristina Vantzou - No. 3
I want to listen to this on headphones while whiskey-drunk and riding a mule across the Utah salt flats, under a full July moon.

William Basinski - The Deluge Live at Issue Project Room
Tea and toast for your ears.

White Hills - Walks For Motorists
Walking down the street, listening to this on my iPod, I ALMOST think I could pull off wearing leather pants again. Or, at least, see through pants... This is SERIOUS strutting music.

Ian William Craig - Cradle For The Wanting
The most 4AD sounding thing 4AD hasn't put out since the early 1990's. It's lovely.

Adam Bryanbaum Wiltzie - Travels In Constants Volume 24
Wiltzie's music is like a bathysphere. It explores the dark depths but inevitably floats back to the surface.

Daniel Knox - Self Titled
Daniel's Weill-esque offerings continue to seemingly woo Me, David Lynch and other weirdos. Weirdos Only in our club.

Drew McDowall - Collapse
Former Coil member continues to produce music for cats to sleep to, moths to bombard flame, men to fall asleep questioning everything.

Mohammad - Segondè Saleco
I feel less like myself with every listen. Is it wrong to welcome the schism?

Anna Von Hausswolff - The Miraculous
Spooky Swede.

Six Organs Of Admittance - Hexadic

Norman Westberg - 13

Stara Rzeka - Zamknęły się oczy ziemi

Noveller - Fantastic Planet
